When Will They Not Rape Me?

When will they not rape me?

When will women live safely?

When Lord, when will I be seen for more than just my beauty?

When o God, will I be seen for more than the things men can use me for?

When will my body be for my pleasure and not here only for the men’s?

I’m standing here in fear…asking, when Lord, when?

When will they not rape me?

When will femicide end?

When will girls be accepted as girls and free from sexualization?

When will boys not be called “ladies men”, and sexualized too?

Because these men out here, are raping not only the women, but girls and boys too.

Taking away their ability to play without worry and the children are now left asking themselves…

When Lord, when will I be safe from rape?

Children don’t even know what the word rape means or what it even is…until they do.

Learning first hand.

And yet, society said it was too soon to teach them what rape is.

But…society is wrong.

There is no age too young or too old, no look too ugly or too attractive to escape being raped.

Even men rape other grown men…although we never hear about them.

And even if you know what rape is, it will not prevent it from happening to you.

So when Lord, when…will women, girls, boys and men be free from rape?

When will we all stop being raped?

And forced to hold onto the hurt.

Because we were called sluts while the rapist went free to live and rape again as an active member of the local community.

Will a time ever come where we will not fear being raped?

Or will our bodies be continually used for someone else’s pleasure and power dynamic?

When will see respect for those too young to speak?

When will consent be taught and love for everyone be held higher than a love of power?

When will we end rape and be able to live free as you and me, a baby all the way to an elder, not fearing constantly for our safety?

When will being used for everything and anything end?

Rape uses my body, soul and spirit just so a man can cum.

When Lord, when will the abuse of women and our children end?

When will they not rape me?

When?

When even in death…there is no guaranteed safety.

When will they not rape me?
